1. The Design Challenge: The Nightmare of Curving Rigid Panels
The architect’s vision for the tech headquarters' lobby was a fluid, biophilic design: a giant, continuous wave-like fluted wall sweeping across an 8.5-meter-high space.
Traditional interior wall panels pose major risks when applied to curved structures:

The "Stepped" Facet Defect: When standard flat-backed panels are bent along a curve, the joints tent or gap, creating sharp, stepped facets rather than a smooth, continuous arc.

I. The Asymmetric Tongue-and-Groove Joint (No V-Groove)
We modified the interlocking tolerances on our CNC tooling. To solve the weight issue, our lab adjusted the chemical formulation.
